But If the two boards are directly interchangeable without any serious problems, this could be a nice upgrade and would breathe a few more years of life into my laptop! MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2010) 2.66 GHz Logic Boardĭoes anyone know if this upgrade would be possible? Would the new board fit correctly into my old MBP body (screw placement etc)? Will all the other connections will be the same (LCD, Battery, Fan, SuperDrive etc etc) or will I need adapters/converters. My guess it's that this might be a hardware problem, as it happened with Lion before. I already tried to run the Apple Hardware Test, but it's not available on my machine. I really hope that someone is able to help me here. Still crashing while using more than 3-4 apps at the same time.

My thought was to wait for Mountain Lion, make a clean install (formatting HDD) and then this should be resolved. My MacBook crashes continuously for about a month now (started while using OS X Lion).
